Dense bales from bulky waste
Baling presses reduce the volume of bulky waste such as cardboard, paper and plastic film into dense, manageable bales. Baling cuts the number of vehicle movements a site needs and, for cardboard and film, improves the price the material earns.
What you can bale
Cardboard, paper and plastic film. Film in particular has to be baled before we can collect it economically.
Horizontal or vertical
Our presses are electro-hydraulic, available in horizontal or vertical designs. Vertical machines take up less floor space; horizontal machines suit higher, continuous throughput.
Mill-sized bales
The larger machines produce a mill-sized bale of 400kg or more — the format paper mills and reprocessors want, and the reason baled material is worth more than loose.
Supply, rent or lease
We can supply, rent or lease a press through one of our trusted partners, sized to your throughput.
Feeds your collections
Baled cardboard, paper or film is collected as part or full loads on a schedule or on call-off, and stored on a stand trailer where a site bales more than it can hold.

What to expect
We aim to reply to equipment enquiries the same working day. Baling makes sense once a site is producing cardboard or film in enough volume that loose collections are costing more than they need to — for film, it's effectively a requirement, as we can only collect film baled. A press can be supplied, rented or leased through one of our trusted partners. Well-made, dry, single-grade bales are worth the most; contaminated or mixed bales are worth less.

Common questions
Do I need to own the press?
No. We can supply, rent or lease a machine through one of our trusted partners. Rental or lease spreads the cost and is often the right call if you're not sure of your long-term volumes.
Horizontal or vertical — which do I need?
Vertical presses take up less floor space and suit lower or intermittent volumes. Horizontal presses suit higher, continuous throughput. Tell us your material and volume and we'll recommend one.
How big are the bales?
The larger machines produce a mill-sized bale of 400kg or more. Smaller presses produce lighter bales, which are still fine for collection — any bale size is acceptable.
What can't be baled?
No hazardous or liquid waste. Wet or heavily contaminated cardboard and film don't bale well and lose value — keep them out of the press.
