Metal isn't our biggest stream, but we handle it to the same standard as everything else. Tell us what you've got — ferrous or non-ferrous, roughly what grade and quantity, and how it arises — and we'll agree containers and a collection pattern.
All grades of scrap
We collect all grades of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal, and supply stillages, skips and open-top roll-on/off containers for storage, segregation and collection.
Keep grades apart
Keeping grades apart matters more with metal than almost any other material: separated copper, brass, aluminium, stainless and clean ferrous are all worth significantly more than a mixed skip, so the containers are there to help you sort as you go.
Market-leading rebates
Good-quality material earns a market-leading rebate. We weigh material in and pay against grade, and we'll tell you straight what each type is worth so there are no surprises when the figures come back.
Deliver it yourself
Our Erith yard has tight access, and for many customers there's a closer option: a network of Nationwide Metals Partners who typically have a depot nearer your site. Take material straight to them under the same arrangement — ask us for the nearest one.
Collection to suit your volume
Collections are booked around how quickly you fill a container — some sites are monthly, some are call-off only.
Payment by bank transfer
Payment for non-ferrous metal is made by bank transfer, in line with scrap metal dealer regulations.

What to expect
We aim to reply to quote requests the same working day. Collections are booked around how quickly you fill a container — some sites are monthly, some are call-off only. Every movement runs under our Waste Carrier Licence with full transfer documentation, and payment for non-ferrous metal is made by bank transfer, in line with scrap metal dealer regulations.
We do not collect or receive hazardous waste or liquid waste, under any circumstances.
FAQ
Common questions
What if I only produce a small volume?
Small or irregular quantities are usually best taken to one of our Nationwide Metals Partners, since there's likely a depot close to you. For sites that fill a stillage or skip over a few weeks, we'll collect on call-off.
Which metals do you take?
All grades of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap — steel, iron, copper, brass, aluminium, lead, stainless, cable and so on. Segregated material is worth more; we can supply enough containers to keep the main grades apart.
How is the rebate worked out?
By weight and grade at the point of collection or delivery, against current market prices. Cleaner, better-sorted material moves up a grade and is worth more.
What can't you take?
No hazardous waste or liquid waste under any circumstances. That includes sealed containers, gas bottles, anything holding oil or fuel, and items with a significant non-metal content unless agreed in advance.
