The container half of a compactor setup
Compaction containers come in 35 or 40 cubic yard sizes and are only supplied where a client already has a compactor machine, or is prepared to buy, rent or lease one. The compactor does the compressing; the container holds the compacted waste and is swapped when full.

Needs a compactor
A compaction container only works bolted to a compactor. We supply them to sites that already have a compactor, or are ready to buy, rent or lease one.
How the swap works
When the container is full it's collected on a hook-lift truck and an empty one left in its place, so the compactor keeps running.
Best for loading docks and DCs
Loading-dock and distribution-centre sites are the typical home for a compactor and compaction container, handling general waste or loose cardboard in volume.
Buy, rent or lease
The compactor can be bought, rented or leased; the container is supplied with it as part of your collection contract.

Can I have a compaction container without a compactor?
No. The container only works when it's mated to a compactor. If you don't have one, we can arrange to buy, rent or lease a compactor as part of the same setup.

It comes down to your waste volume and how often you want a swap. More volume or fewer swaps points to 40 cubic yard. We'll recommend one from your figures.
What can go in it?
Dry, non-hazardous waste — general refuse, cardboard, paper and packaging. Never hazardous or liquid waste.
How much space do I need?
Room for the compactor and container together, plus clear access for a hook-lift truck to collect and replace the container. We'll check the site works before anything is ordered.
